colorado lovin'
my dear, dear sweet friend bethany came to visit me in colorado this week before i hit the road and move to north carolina. she visited for 3 days and we had such a fun time together.
the first day we went to denver. we went to snooze for brunch and then we walked around the outdoor mall, drank soy vanilla steamers and cried in public about the current status of our lives... totally normal for us.
the second day was probably my favorite. we went up to breckenridge and, as always, i was taken away with the beauty of the mountains. it was affirmed, however, that i can't drive in the mountains or in the snow worth a lick. i'm rather surprised we are still alive.
it's so fun to have a friend that loves photography as much as i do, but also is in the beginning stages of learning the ropes. trying to get our settings right and the correct lighting was a sight to see. thank goodness there weren't many people around.
on our third day we went to garden of the gods and again took advantage of having someone else there to take our picture! there was barely anyone there and the weather was gorgeous.
i am so so blessed to have such a sweet friend in this girl. we have been through some times together, let me tell ya, and i am eternally thankful that god brought her into my life.
sweet, wonderful memories were made over belly laughs, cups of coffee, shed tears and an overall beautiful trip. i praise god for such a wonderful influence and absolute rock in my life!
i'll miss colorado like crazy but had a great ending to this chapter in life and am SO excited for all that god has planned and is preparing for me in this upcoming season! NC bound come sunday!
