the green wall
last friday afternoon, two friends and i went out and explored. no agenda and no specific destination. 3 girls and a camera. oh, the possibilities.
we ended up at the green wall. i am in love with this wall/ building/ structure. it's decrepit and falling apart but so beautiful at the same time.
erika.
our friendship story is a fun one. we first met when we were 11 years old. it was at church camp in greenville, sc called centrifuge and we were in the same group. we were literally friends for one week during a summer 12 years ago and hadn't talked since.
i moved to nc. she lived 20 minutes away from me. we went to the same church. we were facebook friends. she reached out to me, we met up at panera and talked for a couple hours over coffee like the past 12 years never even happened. she was my very first friend here in nc and i've loved her ever since... mainly because of her uncanny resemblance to tay swift and her zero tolerance for people while driving that causes me to laugh.
ali.
ali and i are new friends but i can tell our friendship is going to be a great one. this girl is so full of laughter, love and joy it is contagious. you know those people that you just become happy while in their presence? yeah, this girl is one of those people. a rare gem.
plus, she is so fun to photograph. a natural, for sure.
the rest of our day consisted of taking a scenic drive that led us to the federal prison (on accident), a Good Berry ice cream stop and dinner at Bull City Brewery. pretty solid friday in my book.
